About Us

Since 1960, R/A Hoerr, Inc. has been an active participant in the auto racing industry. The name Hoerr has been heard in many facets of racing since the early years of auto racing, when Annie and Rudy Hoerr became car owners in the USAC Stock Car Series. Their list of drivers includes legendary racers such as Al Unser Sr, Bobby Unser, Bobby Allison, Bill Cheeseburg and Bob Christy.

The family business began a new division, Hoerr Racing, in 1975, when sons Irv and Scott began their driving careers in the IMSA Radial Sedan Series. After nearly a decade of successes, Hoerr Racing began an 11 year Relationship with General Motors, beginning in the IMSA American Challenge Series. In 1986, Oldsmobile contracted Hoerr Racing to design, develop, and campaign an Olds Toronado, with Irv at the controls. This relationship contributed to countless successes over the next several years, including 6 National Championships and over 60 wins in IMSA, the SCCA Trans Am Series, Professional Sports Car and Grand-Am.

40+ years of success in the auto racing industry brought about the birth of Hoerr Racing Products (HRP) in 1998. This expansion into the racing parts business has allowed the company to service its customers' race teams from the design process through the building and maintenance of their cars, providing not only the necessary parts to run a team successfully, but the technical knowledge that four decades of experience in auto racing has produced.

Hoerr Racing Distributing came to fruition in 2001 and in 2003 HRP Fabrication Services was expanded along with the addition of HRP Rem Finishing Service division allowing the company to service every racing need. Each new development in the R/A Hoerr Corporation is a continued effort to bring the highest quality products to our loyal customers, while continuing the research and development of new products. The Version 2 chassis and newest suspension components have already proven to be quite a success.

R/A Hoerr Inc. looks forward to continuing its evolution from the grassroots of motorsports with the experience, tradition, and continued research and development into its Manufacturing, Retail, and Distributorship Divisions.
