Real uses only 6061-T6 true aircraft structural grade aluminum. 6061 aluminum must be two stage heat-treated and therefore is more expensive to use and much stronger than cheaper non heat-treatable stamping type aluminum or plastic

Spun Construction
It has been proven over and over again that the only way to get a truly round wheel, and maintain material thickness is to spin it! Again, not the cheapest way, but the best way to make a first class wheel.

Highly Polished Finish
All Real aluminum wheels are polished to a finish that is second to none.

Steel Lug Inserts
Steel lug inserts are used so lug nut torque can be maintained at all times. The insert won't crush like the coined aluminum does. When the coined aluminum flattens out, wheels can come loose and they won't bolt up true to the stud, causing the wheel to be out of round.
