The MVE STA 200 5 speed road race gearbox is an improved, strengthened and well developed replacement for the old Hewland STA (now discontinued). This transmission has been the primary gearbox used by Trans-Am, IMSA, Grand-Am and SCCA Club Racing championship teams for many years. The MVE STA 200 is assembled using Hewland major components with wide gears and the MVE quick change drop gear system. The integral oil pump and lubrication system insures long life. Smooth dog ring H-Gate shifting and a large gear ratio selection are 2 more reasons why the MVE STA 200 is the choice of champions.
The MVE NC 500 4 speed gearbox is quickly becoming the choice of top teams in Nextel Cup, Busch Grand National, Craftsman Trucks, ARCA, SCCA Sedans and Vintage Sedans. Lightweight (66 lbs), low shaft deflection, short throw shifting and low rotating weight are just a few of the reasons the MVE NC 500 is becoming so popular.
NEW for 2005 - MVE NC 500 CMS 4 speed gearbox. CMS stands for Center Mounted Shifter which allows the drivers seat to be mounted 4" to 6 " closer to center for greater driver safety and better car balance. There are only 4 parts needed to convert the NC 500 to a NC 500 CMS-1. Internally the NC 500 CMS has all the same rugged components as the NC 500.
Mid Valley Engineering also manufactures the Shur Shift Rail Shifter for 4 speed and 5 speed transmissions. The Shur Shift Shifter is an interlocking system which prevents the gearbox from being out of sequence with the shifter, delivering much quicker shifts, and is precise enough to work with dog ring gear boxes. Shur Shift Shifter fits most 4 and 5 speed transmissions.
